Instrument: GPS input monitor
The GPS input monitor shows the raw GPS command strings as they come in from the GPS source (either
live or read from a pre-recorded file). At the top of the display area is a status indicator
that shows whether data is being received from the GPS source and if the data is good. At the
bottom of the display area are a set of counters showing the total messages received, the number
of warnings, and the number of errors.
The main portion of the instrument contains the actual data as received from GPS. At the
beginning of each line will be the GPS time (not the computer time) when the message was
received and the source that is being read (e.g. "FileSrc"). The rest of the line is
the GPS command string.
Clicking the right mouse button will show the options for this instrument:
- Configure will allow you to set how many lines of data should be saved in a
buffer and visible in the scrollable instrument
- Disable normal messages will filter out all normal messages and display only
warnings and errors. When this is selected the menu choice will be Enable normal
messages and will turn off the filtering.
- Reset will discard all the displayed messages and start from a blank screen
- Close will discard the instrument
