Instrument: Analog Compass
The Analog Compass shows the current heading as indicated by the GPS
input. This is a traditional needle and dial represenation of heading.
You have the option of displaying the heading in magnetic-north or
true-north orientations as well as north-up and heading-up views.
The default orientation is magnetic-north with a north-up view.
The analog compass resizes itself to fill the available space; so you can create
large or small compasses by simply changing the size of the window it is in.
Clicking the right mouse button will show the options for this instrument:
- Checking the True north box will switch orientation to
true-north. Unchecking it will switch to magnetic-north.
- Selecting North-up or Heading-up will switch the view
appropriately.
- Close will discard the instrument
